Can we bring our pet with us?
Although dogs are allowed at St Audries Bay, we do not permit pets to stay inside our van as we appreciate that not all renters are pet lovers and some people may have pet allergies, we apologise for any disappointment this may cause.
Can you smoke in the van?
No, no smoking or vaping is allowed in the van. If anyone is found to do so, then they will be asked to vacate the premises with immediate effect and the deposit will be retained.
Can single sex groups book the caravan?
Single sex couples may rent the caravan, however where there are more than 3 people staying this must be mixed sex groups (no stag/hen bookings permitted)
What are the age restrictions for booking?
At least one person in the group must be over the age of 21
Can we have BBQ on the decking?
Yes, however please be mindful that should you have a BBQ that you are responsible/liable for any damage to the decking and surrounding trees.
What do we need to bring with us?
Yourselves! We provide all bed linen for your stay; all we ask is that you leave it all in the lounge when you leave so the cleaners can pick it up. If you wish to bring your own, please place the linen in the wardrobe (master bedroom) so that it can be used for the next guests.
All cooking utensils and crockery is provided, as we as towels/tea towels.
What equipment does the caravan have?
Kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cooker and oven, Microwave, Fridge/freezer, Toaster and kettle, Utensils, cookware, and dinnerware.
Living room has two comfortable sofas (one which is a fold out bed), Coffee table, Smart TV with Freeview channels, DVD player, surround speaker and electric fireplace.
Bedrooms: Master bedroom has a double bed, built in wardrobe, makeup table and stool and a WC. Second bedroom has twin beds, wardrobe and overbed storage.
Bathroom has a walk in shower, toilet, and sink.
Heating: Central heating system in all rooms for year-round comfort
Double Glazing: For improved insulation and reduced noise
Outdoor Space: Private Decking area with outdoor furniture.
Parking space next to the caravan.
Complimentary Wi-Fi (if available)
What is the required deposit to book?
The initial payment to secure booking is £100. The remaining 90% is due 6 weeks prior to your stay. If your break is less than 6 weeks away, then full payment is required at the point of booking. A damage waiver of £150 will also be required, and this will be returned to you within 7 days of you exiting the van, should no damage have occurred. Any reported damage will be costed and deducted from the waiver. If any criminal damage is caused to the van, or any contents taken without permission, then the authorities will be informed.
What if we cancel our booking?
If you cancel your booking you will receive the following money back:
* Holiday more than 6 months away – All money paid refunded
* Holiday 6 weeks-6 months away – all money apart from deposit refunded
* Holiday 3-6 weeks away – 50% of money refunded
* Holiday less than 3 weeks away – no refund
Can you swim in the sea at St Audries Bay?
St Audries Bay is a pleasant spot for wild swimming when the tide is in, however, it’s very muddy when the tide is out. It’s part of the Bristol Channel so it’s a little murky and not overly inviting. This beach is best enjoyed from the shoreline. This isn’t recommended for family swimming. There are plenty of nice beaches to bathe in Somerset
Can you park at St Audries Bay?
There is room for one car to park by our van, with ample more room in the nearby reception building should you need to bring more. can park for free at St Audries Bay Holiday Park.
Is there a swimming pool at St Audries Bay?
Yes, there is an indoor heated pool at St Audries Bay Holiday Park. During the holiday period there are four open swims a day and one quiet adult only swim. During term time there are three open swims with the lifeguard being present during these times.
Is there entertainment at St Audries Bay?
St Audries bay Holiday Park organises various entertainment throughout the year. It is always best to check whats on before your visit as it’s always changing with new programmes added.
This summer there is a cabaret on a Wednesday and a Sunday evening.
How do I get to St Audries Bay by bus or by train?
The nearest British Rail station is Taunton. There is a regular bus service (Bus 28) which runs approximately every half an hour and runs from Taunton, Castle Way to Minehead (Butlin’s Main Gate). If you are trying to reach St Audries Bay by bus, you can request a stop at The Windmill Pub, West Quantoxhead or even outside the park. It’s a rural service so the driver will normally stop when signalled to do so. The walk down the hill to the park takes about 10 minutes. This is a coastal route and stops at all the local towns and villages to include Bishops Lydeard, Williton, Watchet and Dunster. Bus 28 runs from 6.20 am daily until 22.30. The weekend service differs. It’s always best to check the timetable before travel.
